Milton was born April 18, 1937 in Cleburne to J.W. "Bill" and Pearl Prescher. He was the fourth son and youngest child in a family of six children. He was a graduate of Godley High School. He served honorably for two years in the U.S. Army and retired from the U.S. Air Force after twenty-fours years service as avionics technician with the rank of Master Sergeant.
He fell in love and married Florrie Lee Brand in 1955. They later had two children Lonnie and Christie. He was a beloved husband, father, Pa-Pa, son, brother, uncle and friend. He enjoyed working in his fruit and vegetable garden every year. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed taking his children and granddaughter camping and fishing.
After the passing of his beloved Florrie Lee, he prayed for the Lord to send him someone special, and the Lord sent Maurine Nichols, also a widower who had prayed the same prayer. They fell in love and married in 1997. They enjoyed traveling, camping, helping out with the church and each others company. He lived the remainder of his days in Grandview.
He was surrounded by his children, his wife and his family when the Angels came to take him home. He will be greatly missed by those who loved him so much. He was preceded in death by his parents, J.W. and Pearl; first wife Florrie Lee; sister, Louise and brother, William.
He is survived by his second wife, Maurine Prescher; son, Lonnie Prescher and wife, Robin; daughter, Christie Prescher; stepson, Nicky Nichols and wife, Vicki; grandchildren, Mina, Natalie, LeShawn, Jodie and Michael; sister, Mary Wiggins; brothers, Adolph Prescher and wife, Ruby, John W. Prescher and wife, Mary Lois and numerous nieces and nephews.
