Services for Milton O. Williams, 90, of Cleburne, will be conducted in the Crosier Pearson Cleburne Chapel at 2:00 P.M. on Sunday, January 16, 2011.Burial will follow in the Rio Vista Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5:00-8:00 P.M. on Saturday, January 15, 2011 at the funeral home.
Mr. Williams passed away on Thursday, January 13, 2011 in Fort Worth. He was born to Ross Jackson and Jessie Freedonia Williams on February 16, 1920 in Freemont, Texas. Milton served in the United States Army during World War II. He married Pauline Frady on June 24, 1943 in Cleburne. He retired after 27 years as a painter with Santa Fe Railroad. He was a member of the Nolan River Road Baptist Church. Milton was also a member of several organizations, including the Disabled American Veterans (D.A.V.), Elks Lodge, American Legion, and the Good Sam Travel Club. Milton enjoyed spending time outdoors, especially camping, fishing and gardening. Pa was a music lover, specifically of country and blue grass. He will be missed greatly by all who knew and loved him. Milton was preceded in death by his parents; son, Billy Paul Williams; 2 brothers; and a sister.
Survivors include his wife of over 67 years, Pauline Williams; three sons, James Milton Williams, Roger Dale Williams and his wife, Faye, and Samuel Ray Williams; grandchildren, Lisa Michelle Finn and her husband, Jimmy, and Kris (Kritter) Milton Williams and his wife, Wendy; great grandchildren, Sofia and Trevor Williams, and Anna Finn; siblings, Mutt Williams, Thelma Gorman, Vivian Brown, Vera Carper, J.B. Williams, and Butch Williams; sister in law, Dot Harrell; several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
