Services for Minnie Faye Thompson, 85, of Huffman, TX, will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, November 15, 2006 in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel. Burial will be in Rosehill Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jackie Syrus, Johnathan Vasquez, Zachery Vasquez, Garrett Akins, Tyler Vasquez and A.J. Campos. Honorary pallbearers will be Lario Vasquez, Kevin Vasquez and Cody Nichols.

Minnie Faye Thompson passed away Saturday, November 11, 2006 in Conroe, TX. She was born March 14, 1921 in St. Joe, TX to John and Ruby Black Speer.

Mrs. Thompson was a homemaker and was of the Baptist faith. She was a member of the American Legion #50 in Cleburne for over 25 years.

Minnie Faye Thompson is survived by her son, Donald Fugitt and wife Louise of Cleburne; daughters, Anna Faye Syrus and spouse Robert Teague of Cleburne, Mary South of Cleburne, Dora Swain and spouse Toby Fleet of Huffman, Barbara Owens of Morgan and Myrtle Faye Lackey and husband Elsie of Cleburne; granddaughters, Lita, Barbara, Kim, Tammy, Karen, Daisy, Sherry, Heather, Jackie, Kristi and Brandi Kay; grandsons, Lario, Dale, Danny, Kevin, Melvin, R.C. and Cody; 32 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren; two brothers, Weldon Speer of Walnut Springs and Thomas Speer and Emogene Speer of Cleburne and a host of other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband Shorty Wallace and two sons, James Fugitt and Roger "Happy Wallace.
