Services for Mitch Zablotny, 88, of Ft. Worth, will be conducted at 1:30 p.m., Saturday, February 17, 2007 in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel. Rev. Billy Strayhorn will officiate. Burial will be in Union Hill Cemetery.
Mitch Zablotny passed away Wednesday, February 14, 2007 in Ft. Worth. He was born February 27, 1918 in Pittsburgh, PA, to Jan and Pauline Zablotny. He married Louise Reeves on January 8, 1944 in Joshua, TX.
Mr. Zablotny taught school in Van, TX, then moved to Lubbock in 1951. He received his B.A. in music and 30 hours above his Masters at UNT in Denton. He received his Masters at the American Conservatory in Chicago, Illinois. He was an accomplished violinist and taught music in Lubbock until his retirement to Joshua.
Mitch Zablotny is survived by his wife of 63 years, Louise of Ft. Worth; three sisters, Adele Hall of Hinsdale, IL, Joan Stanis of Mt. Prospect, IL and Eleanor Pekie of Springfield, IL; several nieces, nephews and several special cousins.
