Mittie Worthy

Funeral services for Mittie Lansford Worthy, 99, of Cleburne, will be held at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, April 27, 2005 at Cleburne's Crosier-Pearson- Mayfield Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Robert A. Graham officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Neal Logan, Charles Head, Jeff Cody, Dr. Mason Shiflett, Pete Hobby, E.J. Barnes and A.D. Wheat. Honorary pallbearers will be Deacons of Field Street Baptist Church.

Visitation will be held from 6-8 PM, Tuesday at Cleburne's Crosier-Pearson-Mayfield.

Mittie Worthy, a retired school teacher, passed away on Sunday, April 24, 2005 at a local nursing home. She was born in Hill County, Texas, the daughter of Fitch and Virginia Moore Lansford. She was a member of Field Street Baptist Church and Eastern Star. She was preceded in death by her husband, J.D. Worthy.

She is survived by great-niece, Patricia Hile, of Lees Summit, Missouri and great-nephew, Fred McGaha, of Louisiana.
