Modina Nowlin

Graveside services for Modina Nowlin, 84, homemaker of Cleburne, will be conducted at 10:00 A.M. Saturday, October 2, 2010 in the Rosehill Cemetery, Cleburne.

She was born November 15, 1925 in Cleburne to Walter S. and Mary Grisham Thompson. She passed away Wednesday, September 29, 2010, also in Cleburne. Modina was a member of the Eastside Church of Christ. She married William Hilton Nowlin in 1945. "Mamaw", as her grandchildren call her, was an avid lover of Dr. Pepper. She had a "never, never, never give up" drive. She will be missed greatly by all those that knew and loved her. Modina was preceded in death by her parents and husband, William Hilton Nowlin.

Survivors include her son, Billy Nowlin; grandchildren, Thomas Nowlin, Samuel Nowlin, Christopher Taylor and wife, Amber, and Stephanie Taylor; great grandchildren, Abigail, Sarah and Billy; brother, Glen Thompson and his wife, Caroline; and a host of other relatives and friends.
