Myldred Lois Miser, 104, of Burleson, Texas, peacefully transitioned into Heaven on December 20th, surrounded by her family. Myldred was a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother. To her grandkids and those close to her, Myldred was lovingly known as, "Nama." Nama will always be remembered for her kindness, excellent cooking skills, hospitality, welcoming spirit, and for her willingness to help her large family in any way that was needed.
Born March 21st, 1920, in Gainesville, Texas, Myldred was the youngest daughter of Marley and Winnie McGilveray. She had two brothers, Harold Standley and James Donald, and an older sister, Beulah Margaret.
As an escrow officer for over twenty years, Myldred devoted her skills to helping people with the complicated tasks associated with homebuying, titles, transfers, and more. On September 11th, 1938, Myldred married the love of her life, Wade Harrison Miser. Myldred and Wade shared a deep love and adoration for each other for over seventy years. Their marriage brought two children, four grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and fourteen great-great grandchildren. Myldred and Wade shared a passion for travel, and they enjoyed traveling across the country in their RV, visiting all fifty states, and also Canada.
Myldred took care of her large family and kept an extremely tidy and organized home. She was also admired for her beautiful penmanship.
Myldred is survived by her daughter-in-law, Louise Miser, granddaughter, Ann Marie Ling and husband, Wayne, grandsons, Kenneth Harrison Miser Jr., Christopher Blake Miser, and Jake Andrew Miser and wife, Alice, great-grandchildren, Mikel McKinley, Casey McKinley, Veda George, C.B. Miser, Chase Miser, Dusty Miser, Maralinda Miser, Lauren Miser, and Alaina George, fourteen great-great grandchildren, and many others that she claimed and loved as her own grandchildren, including Miranda Shue and Amber Montgomery.
The family wishes to express their deepest gratitude to caregivers, great-granddaughter, Mikel McKinley, Cori Talmage, Tonya Peppel, and Lupe Nanez, and Miranda Shue for their unwavering love, support, and compassion for Nama over the years.
Myldred was preceeded in death by her husband, Wade, son, Kenneth, and her great-great granddaughter, Ella Michelle.
A memorial for Myldred "Nama" will be held on January 11th, at 11 am, at: St. Marks United Methodist Church, 1109 West Henderson, Cleburne, Texas 76033
