Memorial services for Nathan Wayne (Nate) Clanton, 50, of Cleburne, will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, March 26, 2014 in the Crosier Pearson Cleburne Chapel. Reverend Charles E. Payne will officiate. A memorial visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 P.M. on Tuesday at the funeral home.

Nate passed away in Cleburne on Friday, March 21, 2014. He was born October 28, 1963 in Waco to Bill and Roberta Evelyn Horne Clanton. He worked for Lockheed Martin for over 13 years, where he also served as a union representative. Nate was of the Baptist faith. It has been said that he was larger than life. Nate never met a stranger and left a lasting impression on everyones heart. He was active in peewee football, having coached the Falcons for over 13 years and serving as VP for the Brazos Valley Association for over 5 years. He was a family man in every sense of the phrase, counting them as his greatest blessings and proudest accomplishments. His capacity to love and giving nature will be missed greatly by all who knew and loved him. Nate was preceded in death by his parents; and brothers, David and Billy Clanton.

Survivors include his sons, J.C. Clanton and wife, Laura, Rhett Clanton, Brandon Clanton and wife, Erika, and T.J. Newsom; six grandchildren, Lanie, Kylie, Hannah, Carter, Hailey, and Jacob; sister, Debbie Griggs and husband, Kennie; several nephews and a host of other relatives and friends, including his beloved dogs, Blue, Emma, Chloe, Snoop, and Sugar; and best friend, Donnie Adair.
