Graveside services for Nathan Leon Lain, 88, of Cleburne, will be conducted at 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, June 4, 2013 in Baker Lain Cemetery. Jake Adams, Mike Gardner, Adam May, Marcus Lee, Shelby Lee, and Eddie Lee will serve as honorary pallbearers. Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 P.M. on Monday at the funeral home.

Mr. Lain passed away Saturday, June 1, 2013 in Cleburne. He was born to Leon and Charlie Kinser Lain on May 4, 1925 in Goatneck, Texas. He was of protestant faith and worked as a road construction foreman for a number of years. Nathan served in the United States Navy during World War II. He married Georgia Lou Johnson on February 24, 1947 in Glen Rose. Nathan will be missed greatly by all who knew and loved him. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; daughter, Martha Lou Lain; and grandchildren, Sean Lee, Katrina Lain, and Nicalous May.

Survivors include his children, Nathan Lain, Jr. of Cleburne, Shirley Palmer and husband, David of Alvarado, and Brenda Lain of Cleburne; 13 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; brother, Doug Lain of Waco; and a host of other relatives and friends.
