Neal Hatcher

Service for Neal "Pappy" Hatcher, 88, of Joshua will be conducted at 10:00 A.M., Friday, July 26, 2013 in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel. Burial will be in the Georges Creek Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Wayne Johnson, Richard Barnett, Robert Hill, Daryl Sims, Norman Walley and Raymond Evans. Honorary pallbearer will be David Hatcher. Visitation will be from 6-8 P.M., Thursday, at the funeral home.

Mr. Hatcher passed away Saturday, July 20, 2013 in Joshua. He was born April 30, 1925 in Hill City, Tex. to Emmitt Hill and Veda Lois Halbert Hatcher. Mr. Hatcher was a self employed carpenter and a member of the St. Marks United Methodist Church. He was also a member of the Cleburne Masonic Lodge.
Survivors include his son, Neal Dwayne Hatcher of Alvarado; daughter, Rebecca Francis and husband Ted of Joshua; step-son, Butch Sims and wife June of Glen Rose; 5 grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren; two sisters, Lois Gosdin and husband Jr. of Glen Rose, Fannie Evans of Houston; special friends and caregivers, Catherine (Cat) and Wayne Johnson of Joshua. Mr. Hatcher was preceded in death by two wives, Pauline Hatcher in 1997 and Betty Hatcher in March 2013; brother, Cecile Hatcher, daughter, Rose Elaine Hatcher, son, James Douglas Hatcher and two sisters, Nelda Hatcher and Letha Gonzales.
