Nelda Hunter

Services for Nelda L. Hunter, 84 of Keene will be conducted at 10:00 A.M., Tuesday, Mar. 23, 2010 in the Keene Seventh Day Adventist Church. Pastor Phil Robertson will officiate. Burial will be in the Keene Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Dwain Chastain, Randell Chastain, James Chastain,Brett Hunter, Robert Sceeles and Dave Tucker.
Visitation will be from 6-8 P.M., Monday.
Mrs. Hunter passed away Thursday, Mar. 18, 2010 in Ft. Worth. She was born Oct. 13, 1925 in Oilton, Okl. to Clifton and Venice Levita Brown Holmes. She married Lavern A. Hunter on Nov. 28, 1940 in Oilton, Okl. Mrs. Hunter was a nurse and a member of the Keene Seventh Day Adventist Church. She was also a member of the American Legion Auxillary.
Mrs. Hunter is survived by her husband of 69 years, Lavern A. Hunter of Keene; one son, Ronald Hunter and wife Sue Ann of Houston; one brother, Dallas Holmes and wife Elaine of Baytown; six grandchildren, Randell and James Chastain, Debra (Chastain) Johnson, Brett Hunter, Rene Sutter and Sherry Henderson and numerous great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one daughter, Elaine Chastain and four brothers.
