Nelda Parker

Graveside service for Nelda Strickland Parker, 67 of Cleburne, Texas, will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 30, 2012, in the Bono Cemetery. Dr. John Glover and Mr. Chuck Gartman will officiate. Visitation will be Saturday from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Nelda Parker passed away on Thursday, December 27, 2012 in Cleburne. She was born January 14, 1945 in Cleburne to J.D. and Margaret Strickland. She worked for over 20 years for the Field Street Day Care Center. She carried a strong love of children through her work and later through her numerous nieces and nephews. She was a lifetime member of Field Street Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, J.D. and Margaret Strickland and sister, Elaine Lanman. She is survived by her brother, Charles Strickland and wife, Sally of Bono; sister, Linda Bolling and husband, Gary of Cleburne; nieces, Saletta Morgan and Stacy Freeman and nephews, Brian Bolling, Mike Steve and Phil Lanman.

The family would like to express their appreciation to Scotty Sanders and the staff at Heritage Trail Nursing Home for the love and care they gave her for the numerous years she was there.
