Nelda Williams

Services for Nelda Jean Williams, 77, of Cleburne, will be conducted at 10:00 A.M. on Thursday, April 21, 2011 in the Crosier Pearson Cleburne Chapel with Pastor Ben Rathgeber officiating. Burial will follow in the Rosehill Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 6:00-8:00 P.M. on Wednesday.

Mrs. Williams passed away in Cleburne on Sunday, April 17, 2011. She was born to Jack and Beatrice "Minnie" Hasty Marbut on January 22, 1934 also in Cleburne. Nelda married Floyd Wade Williams on March 20, 1951 in White Settlement. They owned and operated several grocery stores, including Floyd's Food Mart in Cleburne. She was of the Baptist faith. Nelda was known as a feisty lady with a good sense of humor. Her outgoing nature and sweet spirit will be missed greatly by all who knew and loved her. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Larry Wade Williams; and daughter, Vicki Jean Williams.
Survivors include her grandson, Justin Williams; sister, Anna Beth Covey; brothers, Edwin, Lindell, Ronald, and Michael Marbut; numerous nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
