Nell Rose

Graveside services for Nell Rose, 84, of Cleburne, will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 25, 2009 in Rosehill Cemetery. Dr. Robert Graham will officiate. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday.

Mrs. Nell Rose passed away Sunday, Nov. 22, 2009 in Cleburne.

D. Nell (Flippin) Rose was born in Rio Vista, TX on Sept. 24, 1925 to William Franklin and Etta Mae McGehee Flippin. Nell married James H. (Buddy) Rose on Aug. 30, 1942 in Rio Vista.

She is survived by her husband Buddy Rose of Cleburne and her children: James Gary Rose and wife, Carol of Granbury, Benjamin A. Rose and wife, Yolanda of Muleshoe, David G. Rose and wife, Donna of San Antonio, and Sharon Allen and husband, Tommy of Cleburne, 5 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren; sister: Frances Hollingsworth of N. Richland Hills; Nieces: Doris Stepp Wells, Kathy Hollingsworth. Nephews: Meredith Stepp, Don Fenn and Jerry Fenn and many cousins.

Mrs. Rose worked for Cleburne Times Review, Sparks Pharmacy and Walls Regional Hospital where she retired. After retirement she enjoyed traveling with her husband, her grandchildren, gardening and she loved to cook.

Nell was a member of Field Street Baptist Church and the Frances Scott Bible Fellowship Class for many years.

Preceding Nell in death are her parents, sister, Willetta (Earl) Fenn, brother, Gary Flippin, step-sisters, Clyde Stepp (J. D.), Eunice (Harold) Rose, granddaughter Amy Lynn Rose.
