Nellene Bailey

Nellene Bailey, 97, of Grandview passed away Friday, April 24, 2020 in Grandview. She was born September 28, 1922 in Montpeliar, Mississippi to John Thomas and Jessie Earl (Jumper) Marshall.
She married Roy Raymond Bailey, Jr. in 1945 in Terrell. She was a homemaker and a member of Westhill Church of Christ. Nellene was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She loved the outdoors and gardening. She loved cooking sewing and being bossy. She especial liked making chocolate chip cookies. Nellene was an all around special lady.


Nellene is survived by sons, Roy R, Bailey III and wife Patti, Tom Bailey; grandchildren, Sara Fussell and husband Ryan, Shannon Ward husband Randell, Buster Bailey, Patrick Bailey and wife Kendra; great-grandchildren, Makala Fussell, Sage Fussell, Kasey Ward, Blake Ward, Chase Ward, Cole Bailey, Matt Jordan, Jared Jordan; brother Ben Marshall and wife Karen and numerous nieces and nephews.

Nellene is preceded in death by her, parents, husband Roy R. Bailey, Jr and sister Kathleen Cozart.


Private graveside service will be conducted Tuesday, April 28, 2020 in the Oakland Memorial Park Cemetery in Terrell.
