Graveside service for Noretia FayE Phillips Howard will be conducted at 9:00 A.M., Tuesday, August 31, 2021 in Rosehill Cemetery in Cleburne. Visitation will be 6-8:00 P.M., Monday, August 30, 2021 at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Ricky Joe Howard, Timothy Howard, Joshua Howard, Max Kurtz, Chris Cryer and Brent Morris.
Noretia FayE Howard, 82, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 25, 2021.
Noretia was born August 26, 1938 in Cleburne, Texas to the late Rufus & Lucille Phillips. She is the oldest of five children. Noretia was educated in Kopperl school system in Kopperl, Texas.
Noretia married James Howard August 3, 1956. The couple shared 65 wonderful years together. Four children were born from this union. Noretia professed her life to Christ at an early age. She joined and was a longtime member of the Assembly of God Church. She enjoyed teaching Sunday School and serving the Lord and her congregation in a variety of positions. Most recently she was a member of Lebanon Baptist Church, for the last 25 years.
Noretia worked for Ben Franklin’s Five and Dime in the framing department for 34 years. She then went to work for A Little Ben’s framing for the remaining 12 years of her career. She retired in 2018.
Noretia read her bible faithfully. She prayed for and with others. Noretia loved to quilt and all needlework. She crocheted many hats for cancer patients and donated her quilts to the women’s shelter.
Noretia has joined her son, Barry, in heaven. She leaves behind to cherish her memory husband James, children, Jay, Ricky and Rebecca, 9 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, 3 siblings, 2 nieces, 4 nephews, cousins and many friends.
