Norma Petry

Graveside services for Norma Jean Wright Petry, 91, of Dallas, will be conducted at 2:00 PM on Saturday, January 6, 2024 in the Godley Cemetery with Dr. David Collett officiating. There will be a visitation held at the funeral home from 6:00-8:00 PM on Friday, January 5, 2024.

Norma passed away on Saturday, December 30, 2023 in Dallas. She was born September 16, 1932 in the Tennessee Valley Community near Belton, Texas. She married Norman Lee Petry on June 18, 1954 in Fort Worth, Texas. They were married almost 69 years at the time of his passing on May 9, 2023. Norma was a long-time member of the First Baptist Church of Godley, where she was a dedicated and active member for many years. She was known for having strong faith in her Lord and Savior. Norma was a private lady with a quiet spirit. She will be missed greatly by those closest to her. She was preceded in death by her parents, Silas Lofton and Velma Mae Dison Wright; husband, Norman Lee Petry; and sister, Lillie Pearl Wright Gladdish.

Survivors include her daughter, Karen Petry Raczka and her husband, Paul; granddaughter, Heather Shlachtman and her husband, Zack; nephew, Michael Rand Gladdish; niece, Linda Margaret Gladdish Versyp; and a host of other family members and friends.
