Norman Maynard Wall II, also known as Topper, passed away at the age of 81 on January 24, 2019. Norm lived in Blum Texas. He was born in Redfield, South Dakota on June 28, 1937 and died January 24, 2019 in Arlington, Texas. His parents were Norman Maynard Wall and Marietta Miller. He had five siblings, June, Jerrine, Nancy, Doug, and Debra. He married Mildred Laverne Wall on May 1,1959 and they were married 49 years. He lived in South Dakota, California and Texas, retiring in Blum, Texas. Norman was a heat treat expert in the steel industry working his way into management. His leadership skills proved excellent as his team broke industry records. He was noted for manufacturing parts for NASA that went into space. Later, he worked in the produce department at David’s Supermarket in Whitney where he knew his customers by name. He enjoyed researching nutrition and was known as an expert. He also liked spending time with family, keeping up with current events, and watching football and western movies. He thought fondly of his local friends that he joined for breakfast regularly in downtown Whitney and Blum. In his youth, he was an accomplished male vocalist. Norm was known for his wisdom, sound advice, intellect, and sense of humor. He is survived by his children Sandra Long, Dr. Norman M. Wall III and Arlene Wall, Stacie and Russell York, and Thomas and Cristy Wall; multiple Grandchildren and Great-grandchildren, his siblings June Dvorak, Douglas Wall and Debra Hansen and numerous extended family members. He was predeceased by his wife Mildred Wall, son Stephen Wall, and two sisters Jerrine Toler and Nancy Torkelson.
Memorial services will be held at 12:00 P.M, .Saturday, February 2, 2019 in
the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Funeral Home Chapel
512 N. Ridgeway Drive, Cleburne, Texas 76033
Visitation will be Friday, February 1, 2019 from 6-8 pm at the funeral home.
Burial will be in Whitney Memorial Park at 510 S. Bosque Street, Whitney, Texas 76692 (Hwy 22)
