Graveside service for Odell “Dodie” Pierce, 96, of Keene will be conducted at 11:00 A.M., Tuesday, May 1, 2018 at Poe Prairie Cemetery in Parker County. Mr. Kevin Melton will officiate.
Odell “Dodie” Pierce passed away Saturday, April 28, 2018 in Keene. She was born October 9, 1921 in Ada, Oklahoma to Rupert and Lizzie Williams Thomas. She married W.E. “Bill” Pierce on July 20, 1940 in Ada, Oklahoma and he preceded her in death on November 4, 2000 after 60 years of marriage.
Mrs. Pierce was a homemaker and was of the Seventh-day Adventist faith.
Survivors include her son, Roger Pierce and wife Lou Anne of Pittsburg; granddaughters, Lisa Ann Baker of Fort Worth, Lana K. Mathers and husband Rodney of Maypearl, and Rhonda Sue Haines of Ben Wheeler; grandson, Roger Dale Pierce of Brownsboro; four great grandchildren; seven great-great grandchildren; sister, Joyce Taylor and husband Bill of Konawa, Oklahoma; and many other loving family and friends who will miss her greatly. She was also preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Judy Winchester; four sisters; and one brother.
