Funeral services for Odie Curlee, 92, of Cleburne, will be conducted at 10:00 A.M., on Saturday, September 4, 2021, in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in the Rio Vista Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 P.M., on Friday, September 3, 2021, at the funeral home.
Mr. Curlee passed away Tuesday, August 31, 2021, in Cleburne. He was born to Robert Lee and Mary Ann Bilton Curlee on February 19, 1929, in Parker Community, Texas. He married the love of his life, Melba G. Webb on August 12,1950, in Joshua. He knew he would marry her the moment he met her. Odie was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. He owned and operated Curlee’s Service Station in Cleburne for 46 years, where he was known for handing out bubble gum to the children. He believed in giving people a chance and impacted the many lives for the better that he touched. Odie was a giver of his heart, time and resources. He was a member of the Elks Lodge and an avid Texas Ranger fan. He was not only a lover of children, but of animals of all kinds. His generous nature and giving spirit will be forever remembered by those who loved him. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, and 9 siblings.
Survivors include his children and their spouses, Glenda Ince, Kevin and Kelly Curlee, and Kenny and Teresa Curlee; grandchildren, Eric Ince, Kennedy Curlee, Kaitlyn Curlee, Kassidy Curlee, Kailey Curlee, and Kendyl Curlee; brother, Curtis Curlee, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
