The family moved to Eulogy in 1925 where they lived until the death of her father, and then they moved back to Cleburne. She married Rufus E. Ola Mae Roberts was a very loving mother, grandmother, aunt and friend. Her hobbies were working in the church, playing with the children, sewing and working outside. She worked as a clothing inspector at Walls Industries for 20 years and the Ben Franklin Store for five years. She was a member and past Worthy Matron of Eastern Star Ruth Chapter 20. She was also a member of Henderson Street Baptist Church, coming there after the death of her husband from Sand Flat Baptist Church.

Survivors include her children, John Wayne and Jeanetta Maude Roberts Watson; two grandsons, Samuel Edward "Eddie" Watson and wife Tina and Gregory Wayne Watson, all of Cleburne; four great grandsons, Jonathan Edward Watson of Stephenville, Garrett Wayne Watson and wife Anastasia, of Natchitoches, LA, Charles Lucus Watson of Stephenville and Kenton Seth Watson of Cleburne; a great-great grandson, Everett Xavier Watson of Natchitoches, LA; numerous nieces and nephews; and many other family and friends. She would tell you that she had many other children through her lifetime. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 52 years and seven months, Rufus Roberts; two older sisters, Addie Bell Sandlin Roberts and Johnnie Lee Sandlin and two younger brothers, Robert Lee Sandlin, Jr. and Murry Thompson M.T. Sandlin.

The family would like to thank the loving and caring nurses and aides at Heritage Trails Nursing and Rehabilitation for the patience and care given the past few months, even though she was not there for a long time, she loved you dearly. A thank you goes out to Dr. Timothy Allen and Dr. Angelo Vu for the care they have given her over the past years. Also we would like to thank Community Hospice in Cleburne and her aide, Kristin Davis, who was so very patient with her, and the nurses at Community Hospice House in Burleson. And a very special thank you to her niece, Ella Mae Roberts Hathcock, for being there to help care for her, at a beacon call, to the very end.
