Olen, Watson

Service for Olen "Red" Watson Jr., 73, of Burleson, will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Thursday, March 24, 2011 in the Lane Prairie Baptist Church. The Reverend Jerry Clements will officiate. Pallbearers will be Jackie Williams, Dale Peacock, Dwayne Johnson, Gene Morgan, Jamie Jewell and Gary Jewell. Committal will be at 1:00 P.M., Friday, March 25 in the Aspermont Cemetery in Aspermont, TX. Visitation will be from 6-8 P.M. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Mr. Watson passed away Sunday, March 20, 2011 in Burleson. He was born November 26, 1937 in Sweetwater to Olen Horace Sr. and Cora Lee Banner Watson. He married Becky Janet Dickerson in November 1961 in Sweetwater.

Mr. Watson served his country proudly in the U.S. Army and was a retired conductor for the Santa Fe Railroad. He was a member of the Cleburne Masonic Lodge.

Survivors include two sons, Olen Watson III and wife Misty of Joshua and Paul Watson and wife Crystal of Burleson; two sisters, Carolyn Armstrong and husband Richard of Stephenville and Sharon Banner Cunningham of Lometa; four grandchildren, Lexi, Colby, Chase and Casie. He was preceded in death by his parents and wife, Becky on June 2, 1993.
