Services for Ollie Clay, 72, of Cleburne, will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, June 14, 2007 in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel. Superintendent J.W. Glenn, Sr., Rev. Pauline Lauderdale and Brother Timothy Moon will officiate. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Donald McNeil, Jr., Willie Mitchell, Charles Alexander, Sr., Curtis Mason, John Clay, Robert Clay, Robert Lewis III and Roderick Austin.
Ollie Clay passed away Sunday, June 10, 2007 in Ft. Worth. She was born October 12, 1934 in Cameron, TX to Johnnie and Itasker Hafford McDowell. She married Ira Clay on August 31, 1957 in Cleburne, TX. Mrs. Clay was a homemaker and a member of Gethsemane Church of God in Christ, Cleburne, Tx.
Ollie Clay is survived by her sons, Elder Bruce Clay of Cleburne and Richard Clay of College Station; daughters, Gracie McNeil and husband Donald , Brenda Lewis and Mary Clay all of Cleburne; five grandchildren, Donald McNeil, Jr., Kimberly McNeil, Sabrina Clay, Melissa Lewis and Robert Lewis III; three great-grandchildren, Marcus McNeil, Dominic McNeil and Phoenicia McNeil and brother, Willie McDowell of Ft. Worth. She was preceded in death by her parents, Johnnie and Itasker McDowell, Sr.; husband Ira Clay on November 1, 2004; two brothers, Johnnie McDowell, Jr. and Ezell McDowell.
