Omar Arias

Omar Noel Arias, 88, of Keene passed away Tuesday, January 6, 2015 in Ft. Worth. He was born August 8, 1926 in Santiago, Chile to a large family.

Mr. Arias was employed at LTV for 29 years in the payroll department, before retiring in 1994. His greatest loves were the Lord and his family.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth Fillman Arias on December 11, 2004; parents, Emeterio and Catalina Block Arias; brothers, Orlando, Arnold, and Helmuth Arias; baby sister, Gladys Arias; grandson, Jamison Dyche; son-in-law, Nick Thompson; brothers-in-law, Jose Schmied and Harold Fillman Jr.; and sisters-in-law, Ruth B. Arias and Martha Fillman Brown.

Survivors include his daughters, Susanna Bridges, Amy Thompson and husband Chris Humphrey, and Madeline Dyche and husband Joshua; grandsons, David and Alexander Nunez, Abraham Bridges, and Judah Dyche; granddaughters, Emily Bridges and Ivy Dyche; seven step-grandchildren; sister, Nora Schmied; brothers, Werner Arias and Sergei Arias and wife Adelia; and a host of nieces, nephews, step-great grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, January 18, 2015 at 2:00 P.M. in Keene Memorial Park Cemetery Chapel.
