O'Neal Johnson

Service for O’Neal Johnson, 93, of Cleburne, will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Thursday, January 11, 2018 in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel. The Reverend Kevin Bentley will officiate. Burial will be in White Church Cemetery in Somervell County. Pallbearers will be Kevin Kennemer, Aaron Johnson, Tyler Griffith, Jason Allen, Brandon Bark and Carl Rhone. Visitation will be Wednesday from 6:00 – 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.

O’Neal Johnson passed away Sunday, January 07, 2018 in Fort Worth. He was born September 28, 1924 to Edgar Dewey and Minnie Ola ( Henslee) Johnson in the Fall Creek Community of Hood County, Texas. He married Almeda Marie Rives on June 05, 1948 in Cleburne and she preceded him in death on December 8, 2015.

Mr. Johnson was a veteran of WWII, serving in the U.S. Navy. He worked as an electrician for Santa Fe Railroad with over 28 years of service. He was a member of Bono Baptist Church.

O’Neal is survived by his son, Mike Johnson and wife Jan of Burleson; daughter, Cynthia Cox and husband George of Cleburne; grandchildren, Angie Kuhlman, Kristi Rhone, Kathy Whitehead, Judy Cox, Kevin Kennemer, Aaron Johnson, Ashley Swinney, Aerial Johnson, Brandon Cox and Chase Cox; brother, Sidney Johnson of Cleburne; numerous great and great-great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife; parents; and four brothers Lecil, J.C., Merlin and Nathaniel.
