Graveside service for Oneta Fay Goodman, 74, of Grandview, will be conducted at 2:00 P.M., Friday, January 29, 2021 at Grandview Cemetery. Visitation will be at 5:00 P.M. - 7:00 P.M., Thursday, January 28, 2021 at Crosier Pearson Funeral Home.
Oneta Fay Goodman passed away Tuesday, January 19, 2021 in Dallas. She was born November 30, 1946 in Grandview to Wallace and Juanita (Johnson) Cockerham. She married James Goodman on August 5, 1966 in Alvarado.
Oneta was a lifelong resident of Grandview where she made her home with her husband James Goodman. She was the owner of two successful business: The Alteration Shop and Nannies Country Collectables. Oneta and her husband loved the outdoors, she loved to hunt, fish and camp at the lake with her family and friends. She was a loving wife, a devoted mother and wonderful grandmother. Oneta will be missed by all who knew her and loved her.
Oneta is survived by her husband, James Goodman of Grandview; daughters, Patricia Whitaker and husband Wayne, Virginia Lantroop of Cleburne; brother, Wallace “Bubba” Cockerham and wife Tammy; Mark Cockerham and wife Sandy; grandchildren, Ethan Whitaker, Joe Lantroop, Jarod Lantroop, Jace Lantroop; great-grandchildren, Kannon Lantroop, River Lantroop and Abby Lantroop; nieces and nephews, Hanna Smith, Matt Cockerham, Brook Cockerham and Blake Cockerham, Mike Friend, Peggy Reuter, Billy Friend and several other family members and friends.
Oneta is preceded in death by her granddaughter Ashley Lantroop and her parents, Wallace & Jauntia Cockerham and Sister Reta Rayburn.
