O.P. Watson

Service for O. P. Watson, 86, of Blum will be conducted at 2:00 P.M., Sunday, Jan. 13, 2013 in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel. The Reverend Sam Houston will officiate. Burial will follow in Blanton Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Thomas Watson, Jason Petersen, Kevin Clark, Dan Brunson, Billy Ray Watson and Ray Blackman. Visitation will be from 6-8:00 P.M., Saturday, at the funeral home.

Mr. Watson passed away Wednesday, Jan. 9, 2013 in Blum. He was born Nov. 24, 1926 in Hill County to Phil and Etta Watson. He married Wanda Jeane Alford on July 31, 1948 in Blum.

Mr. Watson served in the United States Army. He was a farmer and retired in 1986 from the Santa Fe Railroad. O.P. was a member of Woodrow Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Jeane Watson; sons, Charles Ray Watson and wife, Jean, Tommy Watson and wife, Jimmie Sue, and Ronnie Watson and wife, Mary Kay; daughter, Lois Jean Kuehler; 10 grandchildren; 28 great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Phil and Etta Watson; three brothers, Lowell, P.J. and Joe Watson; and three sisters, Mary Conner, Ruth Wray and Pat Roye.
