Graveside service for Opal “Nana” Johnson, 85, of Cleburne will be conducted at 10:00 A.M., Monday, Dec. 28, 2015 in Rosehill Cemetery. Chaplain Nancy Schneider will officiate. Visitation will be from 6-8:00 P.M., Sunday, at the funeral home.
Opal “Nana” Johnson passed away Wednesday, Dec. 23, 2015 in Cleburne. She was born Dec. 9, 1930 in Lorenzo to Roy D. and Mildred Lane Lobstein. She married Harry Frank Johnson on March 20, 1948 in Hamilton.
Mrs. Johnson was a homemaker and a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend to many. She was a longtime member of the Elks Lodge and Field Street Baptist Church. Nana will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Survivors include her son, James Roy Johnson and wife Pam of La Vernia; daughter, Connie Marie Foster and husband Tim of Cleburne; grandchildren, Jerry Wilson, Cristi Rodriguez, Melinda Allen, Jay Johnson, Traci Devora, Kurtis Hall, and Kristine Bone; 12 great grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; sisters, Ida Garner of Wylie and Elaine McClain of Keene; numerous nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Harry Johnson on Aug. 24, 2003; sister, Chris Chandler; and great-great- granddaughter, Cameomarie Martinez.
