Service for Opal Marion, 98, of Burleson will be conducted at 1:00 P.M., Thursday, Mar. 17, 2016 in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel. The Reverend Weldon Coble will officiate. Burial will be in Godley Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6-8:00 P.M., Wednesday, at the funeral home.
Opal Marion passed away Sunday, Mar. 13, 2016 in Burleson. She was born Feb. 9, 1918 in Burnet to William Harrison and Minnie Estale Weeks Stanley. She married Robert Lee Marion on Jan. 2, 1937 in Hillsboro and he preceded her in death in 1990.
Mrs. Marion was a nurse’s aide and a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great and great-great grandmother, sister, and a friend to many. She was of the Assembly of God faith.
Survivors include her daughter, Mary Allene Tucker and husband Jimmy, Sr. of Burleson; grandchildren, Jimmy Joe Tucker, Jr. , Steven Lee Tucker, Gina Danaa Tucker, Ronald Dale Marion, Belinda Gail Woodruff and Lana Sue Fisher; 10 great grandchildren; 12 great-great grandchildren; brother, Truman Stanley of Kerrville and a host of other relatives and friends. She was also preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Margie Lou Allison; son, Coleman Lee Marion; and grandsons, Coleman Leon Marion, Paul Wayne Marion, and Jackie Marion.
