Opal Stelljes

A graveside service for Opal Stelljes, 101 years old, of Cleburne will be conducted at a later date in Girard, Kansas. A visitation will be from 6-7:30 p.m. with the wake starting at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 4, 2016, at the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Funeral Home.

Opal Stelljes passed away Monday, Feb. 1, 2016, in Cleburne. She was born Sept. 21, 1914, in Monmoth, Kansas, to Jess and Grace Cassity Palmer.

Mrs. Stelljes was a homemaker and a member of Calvary Baptist Church.

Survivors include her sisters, Lucille Lawrence and Ethel Ellison, both of Cleburne; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Floyd Palmer; and sister, Helen Foltz.
