Ora Brunson

Graveside service for Ora Ophelia Brunson, 90, of Rio Vista will be conducted at 10:00 A.M., Wednesday, November 19, 2014 in the Rio Vista Cemetery. Mr. Tommy Johnston will officiate. Visitation will be from 6-8:00 P.M., Tuesday, at the funeral home.

Ora Ophelia Brunson passed away Friday, November 14, 2014 in Cleburne. She was born December 20, 1923 in Hamilton County, Texas to Daniel Cyrus and Mary Alice Tilley Bullard. She married David D. Brunson on November 19, 1938 in Hamilton County, Texas.

Mrs. Brunson worked as a beautician and owned and operated Brunson Beauty Shop in Rio Vista for 50 years. She never met a stranger and was dedicated to taking care of others throughout her whole life. She was a member of Parker Church of Christ. Her love for life and family will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Survivors include her children, Ora Nell Hancock and husband Larry, David R. Brunson and wife Juanelle, Darwin Carl Brunson, Melvin Clair Brunson and wife Paula, Molly Gene Hestilow and husband Kenneth, Gary D. Brunson and wife Jody and Robert and Bobby Lopez; numerous generations of grandchildren; siblings, Albert Bullard and Dru Howell; several nieces and nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, David D. Brunson; siblings, Steve A. Bullard, Virginia Gregory, Truman Bullard, and three infant brothers.
