Graveside services for Oralia Martha Hawkins Rolston, 83, of Burleson, will be conducted at 3:00 P.M. on Friday, February 11, 2022, in the Emerald Hills Memorial Park, Kennedale. Family and friends unable to attend services, may stop by Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Funeral Home to sign the register book up until noon on Friday, February 11, 2022.
Martha was born to Manuel Gregorio Alvarado Mendez and Maria Adela Montenegro Vargas on November 27, 1938, in Tepic, Nayarit, Mexico. She was a member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church, Keene. She married Johnny “J.D.” Rolston on June 4, 2006, in Fort Worth. Martha was the ultimate homemaker, always with open arms to share her time, advice, and famous cooking, especially her tamales and chile rellenos. Her family and faith were the center of her world. Martha had no hesitation to share her faith and beliefs with anyone and everyone she came into contact with, no matter where. Her boldness allowed her to have a deep-rooted and strong faith throughout her lifetime. She was a music lover, especially of Christian, classical and opera. Martha was talented in many arts and crafts, such as painting, crocheting, floral arrangements and interior decorating. It has also been said that she was one who embraced change and technology with no fear. Her kind and generous spirit and many lessons of love of God and family will be remembered for generations to follow. Martha was preceded in death by her parents; husband; 1 great grandson; and 6 siblings.
Survivors include her children and their spouses, Rose and Dan Swinyar, Martha and Jim Puett, Aurora and Greg Hafer, Curt and Cristina Hawkins, and Carrie and John Alexander; 13 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; sisters, Esther, Elizabeth and Aida; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
