Orell Matyastik

Visitation for Orell Lea Matty Matyastik, 80, of Cleburne will be conducted from 6-8:00 P.M. Monday, April 29, 2013 in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Funeral Home. Private services will be held at a later date.

Lea Matty Matyastik passed away Wednesday, April 24, 2013 in Cleburne. She was born Nov. 9, 1932 in Beckville to Felix Colquitt and Myrtle Ladell Blackmon Metcalf.

Ms. Matyastik worked as a nurses aide for 22 1/2 years. She was also a former beautician and owned a restaurant in Odessa. Matty was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and was of the Baptist faith. She enjoyed watching westerns and doing crossword puzzles. She also was an avid reader and had lived all over the United States and Argentina during her life. Her love of laughter and spunky spirit will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Survivors include her daughter, Marianna Sears Wright and husband Jerry; extended family, Richard Matyastik, and Kathy, Kelley and Michael Neeley; grandchildren, Vince Landeros and wife Sandy, Jordan Wright, Tiffenee Wright and Dreana Shaw and husband Richard; seven great grandchildren, Christopher, Brianna, Dalton, Lakota, Jaden, Zoey and Shyra; several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Josephine Dukes and Linda Crump.
