Otis Franklin

Service for Otis Leroy Franklin, 96, of Cleburne, will be conducted at 10:00 AM Monday, November 17, 2014 in the Greater Mt. Zion Baptist Church. The Reverend David Baldwin, Reverend John Warren and Reverend Willie Stevenson will officiate. Burial will be in DFW National Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9:00 -10:00 AM prior to service.
Otis Leroy Franklin passed away Wednesday, November 12, 2014 in Cleburne. He was born April 4, 1918 in Edgewood to Henry and Ida Grimes Franklin. He married Inez Bonner on July 20, 1984 in Cleburne.
Mr. Franklin served in the US Army during WWII and worked as a custodian at Cleburne Savings and Loan Bank. He was a member and deacon at Greater Mt. Zion Baptist Church.
Otis Leroy Franklin is survived by his son, Leroy Conly of Fort Worth; cousins Phala Clay and husband Michael, Bernell Coursin, and Esther Miner and numerous nieces, nephews and extended cousins. He was preceded in death by his wife, Inez and sister Lucille Franklin.
