Funeral Service for Pamela Rogers Johnson, 78, of Arlington, will be conducted at 2:00 P.M., Friday, April 15, 2022, in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel. Burial to follow in Rio Vista Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6-8:00 P.M., Thursday, April 14, 2022, at the funeral home.
Pam passed away Tuesday, April 5, 2022, in Arlington. She was born May 25, 1943, in Cleburne to Ernest Pierce and Inez Duvall Rogers. She married William Charles Johnson on June 26, 1966, in Cleburne. Pam was a loyal and dedicated lady, who served diligently as a lifelong member of St. Mark United Methodist Church, Cleburne. She taught high school government and history over 18 years with the Rio Vista ISD. She was a highly respected teacher who expected her students to perform to their best ability and be accountable. Pam was an avid reader of mystery novels, often reading at least one book a day for many years. It has been said that Pam was a thoughtful lady. She regularly sent out cards to friends and families for all occasions. This is merely one act of kindness that showed how thoughtful she was. She was an active member in several chapters of the Grand Chapter of Texas Order of the Eastern Star. She was dedicated to the OES and held all positions including being a Past Worthy Matron throughout the years. Pam touched countless lives in her thoughtfulness, service to others and teachings. She will be missed greatly and remembered fondly. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband; brother, Richard Lee Rogers, and sister, Billie Ann Styron.
Pam is survived by her daughter, Jennifer Johnson Hayford and husband, Andrew; son, George Duke Johnson III; granddaughter, Lucy Hayford; several nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
