Services for Pansy M. Hopper, 88, of Abilene, will be conducted at 2:00 P.M., on Tuesday, February 14, 2012 in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel with Mr. Buddy Fry officiating. Burial will follow in the Rosehill Cemetery. Richard Longley, David Longley, Chad Longley, Ricky Reeves, Gary Hearne, and James Morris Hearne will serve as pallbearers. Visitation will be Monday, February 13, 2012 at the funeral home from 6:00-8:00 P.M.
Pansy M. Hopper passed away Thursday, February 9, 2012 in Abilene. She was born to Thomas Carrol and Mary Elizabeth Wiggins Easdon on January 20, 1924 in Cleburne. Pansy married Marvin Stanley Hopper on November 24, 1945 in Cleburne, Texas. They lived in Johnson County until 2003 when she and Marvin moved to Abilene to live with their youngest daughter, Charlotte and son in law, Kenneth Longley. They moved their church membership from Grandview Church of Christ to Baker Heights Church of Christ in Abilene. Pansy will be missed greatly by all who knew and loved her. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Marvin; son, Marvin Stanley Hopper, Jr.; 5 siblings, Raymond Easdon, Juanita Easdon, twins, Louis B. Easdon and Louise Hearne, and T.C. Easdon.
Survivors include her two sisters, Lucille Perry of Burleson and Alice Reeves of Fort Worth; one brother, Jim Easdon and his wife, Charlie Dell of Cleburne; two daughters, Mary Ruth and her husband, Ruben Villegas and Charlotte, and her husband, Kenneth Longley; 6 grandchildren, Richard Longley and wife, Michelle Lee, David Longley and wife, Charlotte Renee, Chad Longley and wife, Abby, Beth Alexander and husband, Josh, Michelle Longley, and Rebecca Bishop; 14 great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends.
