Pansy Scarberry

Alvarado, Funeral services for Pansy Lola Scarberry, 97, of Alvarado, will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, March 4, 2005 at Cleburne's Crosier-Pearson-Mayfield Funeral Home. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Terry Henslee, Mel Renfro, Doug Scarberry, Steve Scarberry, Mark Brown, Larry Thompson, Jerry Lonon and Floyd Camp.

Visitation will be held from 6-8 PM, Thursday, at Crosier-Pearson-Mayfield.

Pansy Scarberry, a homemaker, passed away on March 2, 2005, in a Cleburne Nursing Home. She was born, February 7, 1908, in Rocky, Oklahoma, the daughter of Walter and Ada (Caldwell) Wilkerson. She married Henry Scarberry November 18, 1929, in Hobart, Oklahoma. He preceded her in death July, 1998. Mrs. Scarberry was a member of Central Church of Christ.

She is survived by daughters, Billy Henslee and husband, Herman, of Grandview and Dovie Brown and husband, H.B. Jr., of Cleburne; son, Wando Scarberry and wife, Visie, of Alvarado; eight grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Ruthell McVicker and husband, Charles; brother-in-law, Odell Scarberry and a host of other relatives and friends.
