Pat Gant

Services for Patricia Ann Gant, 89, of Cleburne, will be conducted at 10:00 A.M., Thursday, August 22, 2024, in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel with Brother Royce Dodd officiating. Private burial will follow. Visitation will be 6-8:00 P.M., Wednesday, August 21, 2024 at the funeral home. Serving as pallbearers will be The Ready Sunday School Class.

Pat passed away Sunday, August 18, 2024, in Cleburne. She was born August 2, 1935 in Crosby County, Texas to John Marion and Josie Mae (Applegate) Boyd. Pat married Bobby Gant on December 30, 1954, in Fort Worth, Texas. Together, they shared 61 wonderful years of marriage until his passing on April 27, 2016. Pat was a devoted member of College Heights Baptist Church and a member of the Ladies Sunday School where she formed friendships and contributed her time and talents. In her professional life, Pat served as the executive and financial secretary for 30 years at the Cleburne Chamber of Commerce, where she made significant contributions to the local community. Known for her warm spirit, she knew many residents of Cleburne and was a familiar presence at chamber and church events. Pat had a passion for gardening, taking great joy in tending to her flower gardens, and she had a fondness for shopping and collecting knick-knacks. Her legacy of kindness and community involvement will be remembered by all who knew her. She leaves behind a cherished memory in the hearts of her family and friends. Pat's dedication to her loved ones and her community will be greatly missed.

She is survived by her granddaughters, Nikki Miller and husband, Matt of Cleburne, and Baillee Perkins of Austin.

Pat was preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughter, Karen Perkins; son-in-law, Rick Perkins; brothers, Sam Boyd, Johnny “Granville” Boyd; Ray Boyd, and Jackie Boyd; sisters, Margie Louise Wheatley, Doris Boyd, and Vera Wingate.
