Service for Patricia Annette Jackson, 67, of Cleburne will be conducted at 2:00 P.M., Thursday, Oct. 12, 2017 in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel. Pastor Sharon Ferguson will officiate. Visitation will be from 6-8:00 P.M., Wednesday, at the funeral home.
Patricia Annette Jackson went to be with the Lord on Saturday, Oct. 7, 2017 in Ft. Worth. She was born April 12, 1950 in Wheeling, WV to Ralph and Yvette Delahayes Darby. Patricia fought a long hard battle with breast cancer. She graduated from Niles McKinley High School in 1968 in Niles, OH and went on to get her Bachelor’s and then a Master’s degree in Education from Southwestern Adventist University in Keene. She married Joel Anthony Jackson on July 12, 1986 in Cleburne.
Mrs. Jackson was a dedicated teacher for almost 30 years, retiring in 2011. She enjoyed camping, traveling abroad throughout the United States and loved spending time with her family. Patricia was a devoted wife, fantastic mother, and the best grandma ever!
Survivors include her beloved husband of 31 years, Joel Jackson Sr. of Cleburne; two daughters, Amanda Douglas of Cleburne and Barbara Jackson of Samson Park; son, Joel Jackson Jr. of Sweetwater; grandchildren, Caitlyn Malcomson, Grayson Douglas, Thane Douglas, Christine Shaw, Candace Shaw, Jacob Jackson; several great grandchildren; sisters, Libby McCrea and Sue Fenstermacher, both of Cleburne and Josette Fullen of Joshua; brothers, Bill Darby of Spring, Ralph Darby of Glen Rose and Michael Darby of Arlington; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph and Yvette Darby; grandparents, Marie and Rene Delahayes; brother, Robert Darby; nephew, Ryan Darby; and a brother-in-law, Joseph McCrea.
