Private memorial services for Patricia Renfroe Vestal, 99, resident of Cleburne for the past 21 years, will be held at a later date in Florida.
Mrs. Vestal passed away with her daughter and son in law at her side on Friday, March 9, 2012 in Cleburne, just 8 days before reaching her 100th birthday. She was born March 17, 1912 in Sanford, Florida to Harvey and Sadie Renfroe. She married David Williamson Vestal on Easter Sunday in 1933 in Rocky Mount, North Carolina. She was extremely active in a number of organizations and clubs while in Florida. Patricia was active on the home front during World War II while her husband was serving in the South Pacific. They both had adventurous spirits, making their home to be one with no dull moments. She worked briefly as a colorist for a photographer. Patricia was a talented artist, especially in painting. She also enjoyed working with flowers and playing Bridge. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Cleburne. Patricia's life was full and she will be missed greatly by all who knew and loved her. She is preceded in death by her parents, Harvey and Sadie Renfroe ; husband, David W. Vestal in 1977; son, David Vestal; and siblings, Olive Renfroe and Harvey Renfroe.
Survivors include her daughter, Mary Ann Harrison and her husband, Donald; daughter in law, Theresa Vestal; grandchildren, John, Patricia, Donna, Ray, Lea Ann, Vickie, and Tammy; great grandchildren, Jennifer, John, Jackie, Brandon, Justin, Kelsey, and Richard; great great grandchildren, Kaelee, Meadow, and Layla; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
