Service for Patsy R. Gillespie, 91, of Bandera, formerly of Fort Worth will be conducted at 2:00 P.M., Saturday, August 25, 2018 in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel, 512 N. Ridgeway Dr. in Cleburne. Mr. Steven Carrizal will officiate. Burial will follow in Cleburne Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-8:00 P.M., Friday, at the funeral home.
Patsy R. Gillespie passed away Wednesday, August 15, 2018 in Bandera. She was born September 6, 1926 in Cleburne to Harold O. and Ola M. Akers Graham. She married Charles Clifton “Charlie” Gillespie on January 18, 1947 in Cleburne.
Mrs. Gillespie was a homemaker and for several years worked as a dental assistant for Dr. J. E. Curtis in Cleburne. She sang with the Sweet Adelines in both St. Louis and Fort Worth. Patsy was a member of the Alta Mesa Church of Christ, where she was very active in Tuesday lunch and Neighborhood Needs and former member of Cleburne Garden Club.
Survivors include her daughter, Vicki Gillespie and husband Frank Hall of Bandera; grandson, Colby L. Allen and wife Tanya Kellam of Ventura, CA; great grandchildren, Anika Kellam Allen and Gabriella Kellam Allen; Frank’s daughters, Robin Cantu and husband Jacob and their children, Daisy, Bubba and Sadie Bippert, and Kylie, Genesis, Heaven, A.J., Jacob Jr. and Frankie Cantu, Kristi Neill and husband John and their children, Jake, Luke, Kyle and Halle Neill; sister, Peggy Milstead and husband Lowell of Abilene; nephew, Brad Weldon and wife Janaye of Plano; special cousin, Alita Pope and husband Bobby; numerous loving nieces, nephews, other family member and friends. She was also preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Ola Graham; beloved husband, Charlie Gillespie; and a niece, Karen Weldon.
The family would like to give special thanks to Encompass nurses and staff, Janette, Griscelda, Therese, Sylvia, and Chaplain Phil; and caregivers, Monique Rhea, Nathalie Norris, Amanda Williams, Dee Anna McNeeley, Kelley Lindley, and Sandra Ingram for their loving, compassionate care.
