Paul DeLaune

Services for Paul DeLaune, 59, of Joshua, will be conducted at 10:00 A.M. Thursday, January 31, 2013 in the Crosier Pearson Cleburne Chapel. Burial will follow in the Caddo Cemetery, Joshua. Visitation will be held from 7:00-9:00 P.M. at the funeral home on Wednesday.

Paul passed away at his home, surrounded by loved ones, after a long fought battle with cancer on Monday, January 28, 2013. He was born to Robert Oscar and Bettie Lou Jones DeLaune on June 2, 1953 in Jefferson, Texas. Paul worked as a welder for many years with his family at Midway Fab as well as truck driving. He married Melissa Anne Osborn on January 25, 1987 in Cleburne. Paul was of Christian faith. He was a free spirited man who enjoyed nothing more than to spend time with those he loved or feel the wind as he rode his motorcycle. Family and friends gathering at cook outs or fishing with his momma brought great joy to him. Paul will be remembered fondly as a jokester and a giving man. He will be missed greatly by all who knew and loved him. Paul is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Roy DeLaune.

Survivors include his wife, Melissa DeLaune; children, Michelle Lee Bogle and husband, Tyler, Patrick Liptarp, Crystal Dawn Osborn, and Robert Edward DeLaune; grandchildren, Ricky, Sarah Bear, Savannah, and Bradley; siblings, Derrell DeLaune and wife, Elizabeth, Pam Chappell, and Troy DeLaune and wife, Gidget; sister in law, Robbye DeLaune; numerous nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
