Graveside services for Pauline Shaw, 100, will be conducted at 11:30 A.M. on Saturday, June 18, 2011 in the Pleasant Point Cemetery, Lillian, Texas.
Pauline Shaw passed away on Wednesday, June 15, 2011 in Frisco, Texas. She was born to Joseph and Annie Metze Wallace on April 19, 1911 in Alvarado, Texas. Pauline grew up working on the farm with her family. She enjoyed sharing stories of her childhood to those close to her, such as riding her horse to school or using the Farmer's Almanac to determine weather and crop patterns. She married J.W. Shaw in the early 1930's. She was of the Baptist faith. As a young woman, she spent many hours sewing for her family. She was a strong lady with a dry sense of humor. She was known for her cooking . Pauline still mowed her own lawn at the age of 89. Pauline's determined nature and independent spirit will be missed by all those who knew and loved her. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; siblings, Metze, Clifford and Kathleen Wallace Goode; and beloved dog, Peanut.
Survivors include her son, Terry Shaw; granddaughter and grandson in law, Kate and Rich Wilson; great granddaughters, Natalie Rose and Isabella Wilson; and nephew, Joe Frank Wallace and his family.
