A celebration of the life of Pedro Lopez, 63, of Cleburne, will be conducted at 3:00 P.M., Sunday, September 20, 2015 in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel. Father Chris Woodall will officiate.
Pedro Lopez passed away Wednesday, September 16, 2015 in Ft. Worth. He was born May 11, 1952 in Lyford to Elidio and Victoria Berlanga Lopez. He married Frances Witherby on March 14, 1994 in Ft. Worth.
Mr. Lopez served in the United States Army from January of 1972-January of 1975 and served in Germany during the Vietnam war. In 1985 he served with the Army National Guard until February of 2004, at which time he joined the Air Force National Guard and served in Cuba. During his military career he was recognized with several awards and certificates. After his retirement from the military, he began building his own business as a contractor for Fed-Ex. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Survivors include his wife, Frances Lopez of Cleburne; Gloria Lafferty, mother of his children Pedro Lopez, Jr. and Eliseo Lopez and wife Monica and his daughter, Vanessa Zink and husband Timothy; stepsons, Robertt Gilani and wife Kimberly and James Gilani and wife Crystal; stepdaughter, Katherine Jost and husband Gregory; seven grandchildren, Russia, Austin, Noah, Benjamin, Sophia, Kennedy, and Scarlett; brothers, Elidio and Eduardo; sisters, Mary, Gloria, and Irma; and a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents.
