Peggy Willard

Graveside services will be held at 10:00 am, Monday, November 2, 2009 at Bethesda Cemetery for Peggy D. Willard, 71, of Alvarado. Peggy Willard passed away Friday, Oct. 30, 2009 in Alvarado. She was born September 12, 1938 in McCamey, Texas to the late, Clemon Carmen and Lora Frances Carwile Barrett. She married Richard D. Willard on June 12, 1960 in Dallas. Peggy worked as a Residential Therapist with MHMR of Cleburne for several years and was of the Baptist faith. Peggy lived for her family, always putting everyone else above herself. She was known as everyone's sweetheart, who could make everyone laugh. She enjoyed crocheting and playing Wii bowling. Peggy's loving nature and giving spirit will be missed greatly by all who knew and loved her. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; children, John Joseph Smith, Jimmy Darrel Willard, Alton Darrel Willard; and sister, Dorothy Rockett.
Survivors include her son, Dewayne Smith; daughter, Diane Willard; grandchildren, Jonathan D. Willard, Ashley, Katlin, and Dawson Smith, and Stormie Fox; sister, Margaret Rudidil; favorite niece, Elane Murphy; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
