Phala Williams

Mrs. Williams, beloved Mother, faithful Christian and devoted friend, passed away Tuesday, March 29, 2004 at C.C. Young Retirement Community in Dallas. She was born to Dee and Lucile Buis on April 25, 1915 in Cleburne. She graduated from Cleburne High School and Sellers School of Beauty in Fort Worth where she earned her instructor's license in cosmetology. She was a life-long member of the First United Methodist Church of Cleburne, an honorary life member of the Woman's Society of Christian Service and a resident of Cleburne for 86 years. Phala moved to C.C. Young three years ago and served on the altar guild for the Assisted Living Facility.
Phala Buis Williams is survived by her daughter, Phala Williams Finley of Dallas; nephews; Glenn Buis and wife Ann of Ft. Worth and James Buis and wife Eileen of Dallas; great nephews, Josh Buis and wife Lara of Frisco and Jordan Buis of Dallas; great niece, Amy Merritt and husband Bill of Justin and their daughter, Alexa; a host of friends. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 60 years, Tim Williams and her brother, Walter Derby Buis and his wife Lorena.
