Service for Pinky Eudean Hudgins Phipps, 91, of Grandview will be conducted at 11:00 A.M., Tuesday, July 7, 2020 at Westhill Church of Christ. Burial will follow in Georges Creek Cemetery. Visitation will be 6-8:00 P.M., Monday, July 6, 2020 at the funeral home.
Pinky passed away Friday, June 26, 2020 in Grandview. She was born October 21, 1928 in Fort Spunky, Texas to Pink Turner Hudgins and Oria Elzie (Lawrence) Hudgins. Pinky married Ray Franklin Phipps on November 15, 1945 in Cleburne. She retired from Williams and Dickies (now known as Dickies) after 50 years of service. Pinky was a long time member of North Davis Church of Christ in Arlington and also Westhill Church of Christ in Cleburne. She spoke often of attending the Yellow Jacket games back in the 1950’s and loved to be around her family.
Pinky is survived by her daughters, Linda Greenwood Santarelli and husband John, and Marsha Baker and husband Corey; grandchildren, Billy Jay Phipps, Jason Phipps, Jerod Phipps, Jamie Olsen, Ashley Renee Driver, Jeremiah Seth Greenwood, Zachary Baker, Nathaniel Baker and Benjamin Baker; great-grandchildren Tony Phipps, Emily Brown and husband Owen, Troy Brannom, Jackson Phipps, Gabriella Phipps, Hailey Olsen, Orion Olsen, Breietta Greenwood, Dade Boyer and Aquarius Greenwood; great-great-grandchildren, Azariah Newton, and Owen Brown; sister Joyce Crawford, niece Nelda Francis and husband Lonnie and sisters-in-law, Billie Jo Hudgins and Carol Hudgins Neal.
Pinky is preceded in death by her husband, Ray Phipps; son, Billy Ray Phipps; her parents; brothers, Dewey Hudgins, Jerrie Hudgins, Marlin T. Hudgins, J.W. Hudgins, and Sammy Ray Hudgins; sisters, Vinnie Hudgins Thomlinson, and Ersie Hudgins Bowman; 3 unnamed baby sisters.
