P.J. Crawford

Graveside service for P.J. Crawford, 84, of Cleburne, will be conducted at 10:00 A.M., Saturday, Mar. 9, 2013 in the Brazos Point Cemetery. The Reverend Charles E. Payne will officiate. Visitation will be from 6-8:00 P.M., Friday, at the funeral home.

P.J. Crawford passed away Tuesday, Mar. 5, 2013 in Cleburne. He was born Oct. 1, 1928 in Grinnell, Iowa to John and Mary Buron Crawford. He married Shirley Ann Lee on Oct. 4, 1952 in Cleburne. She preceded him in death on Sept. 13, 2004.

Mr. Crawford served in the United States Navy. He was a truck driver with Cle-Tex Trucking, retiring after 42 years of service. He was of the Baptist Faith.

Survivors include his son, Keyo Crawford and wife Cathy; daughters, Tanya Crawford, Bambie Trotty and Cyndi Gamboa and husband Presley; daughter-in-law, Leitha Crawford; 16 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren; brother, Don Crawford and wife Maritta; sister, Ester Henning; and a number of nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by his parents; son, Joey Crawford; and brothers, Dick and Clark Crawford.
