In honor of Ralph "Ed" Connell’s life, a memorial service will be held at Keene Seventh-day Adventist Chapel on Saturday, May 3, 2025, at 3:00 PM. His family invites all who knew him to join in celebrating his remarkable life and the indelible mark he left on their hearts. Burial will be private in the Keene Memorial Park Cemetery

Ralph "Ed" Connell, born on October 30, 1941, in Fort Worth, Texas, passed away peacefully on April 23, 2025. Ed was a cherished husband, father, mentor, and friend, whose impact on the lives of many will be forever remembered.

He is survived by his devoted wife, Tyke Connell; his sons, Steven Anthony Connell and wife Sandra, and Christopher Darby Connell and wife Stacey. Ed's family also includes his beloved foster daughter, Teressa Luhaorg, sister, Marti Schneider, nephew Dr. Don Schneider and wife Dr. Dorothy Hernandez, niece Carol Schneider along with his treasured grandchildren, Juliette Connell and Audrey Connell. Additionally, he leaves behind many grateful students who benefited from his guidance and expertise throughout his teaching career.

Ed was an individual of remarkable intelligence and was intuitive, known for his deep thinking and analytical prowess. He shared his knowledge and passion for learning as he taught math, physics, and computer science at various institutions, including Southwestern Adventist University, where he dedicated countless hours to nurturing young minds. His commitment to education extended beyond the classroom; he, alongside his wife Tyke provided a home and mentored many students, providing both academic support and encouraging personal growth.

A lover of humor, Ed found joy in sending out memes and making jokes that brought laughter to friends and family. His lighthearted spirit complemented his serious intellect, creating a unique balance that endeared him to all who knew him. He was also an ardent animal lover, often caring for and advocating for creatures great and small.

Ed was preceded in death by his parents, Murrell and Iva Ruth Connell, and his brother-in-law, Don Schneider. The legacy he leaves behind is one of love, laughter, and a lifelong commitment to education.
