Ray Jones

Graveside services for Raymond E. "Ray" Jones, 76, of Dallas, will be conducted at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, March 14, 2023 in the Rosehill Cemetery, Cleburne. Family and friends are encouraged to share stories and thoughts at the service in honor and celebration of his life.

Ray passed away on Saturday, March 11, 2023 in Dallas. He was born to Homer, Jr. and Lois Suella McGlaughlin Jones on April 22, 1946 in Gatesville, Texas. On February 9, 2005, he married Tuy Le in Dallas County, Texas. Ray was of Christian faith. After his over 40 years at Vought, he enjoyed selling cars. Helping those in need find the right car brought him great joy. Many of his customers continued to come see him long after the sell was made. He was a stoic man who his family called "Grandpa Ray of Sunshine". He believed in tough love and living a simple life. Ray was an animal lover throughout his lifetime, especially of dogs. He was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan. He could often be found drinking a Coca-Cola and reading or researching historical events. Ray left an everlasting mark on those who knew him best and he will be missed. He was preceded in death by his parents (listed above).

Survivors include his wife, Tuy Le; children, Jesse Jones and his wife, Tonya, Tara Grace and her husband, Christopher, Julie "Mimi" Nguyen, and Jimmy Nguyen; grandchildren, Tristan Webb, Gabriel Webb, and Haley Jones; as well as a host of extended family members and friends.
